Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited is recruiting Winter Patrol Drivers in Inveraray to support seasonal road maintenance throughout the winter months. You will drive HGV Class 2 vehicles, operate gritters and snow ploughs, and assist with salt spreading as required.

Applicants should hold LGV Class 2 entitlement and be prepared for a flexible rota that includes night shifts, standby, and overtime. Fixed-term seasonal positions with potential for further winter work or longer-term opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• LGV Class 2 entitlement (Cat C) is required or can be provided through training.
• Flexibility for shifts, standby and night working.

Morgan Hunt are currently recruiting Winter Patrol Drivers for seasonal positions in Inveraray, supporting winter road maintenance operations throughout the colder months.

The Role:

• Driving HGV Class 2 vehicles on winter maintenance duties.
• Operating gritters and snow ploughs during adverse weather.
• Fitting gritter bodies and snow plough blades and spreading salt when required.
• Working a flexible rota including night shifts, standby and weather-dependent overtime.
• Working outdoors in challenging weather conditions while following strict health & safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Full UK Driving Licence with LGV Class 2 (Category C) entitlement.
• Previous winter maintenance or roadworking experience is desirable, but full training can be provided.
• Flexible approach to shifts, standby and night working.

These are fixed-term seasonal positions, with potential opportunities for further seasonal work or longer-term employment for candidates who demonstrate commitment and reliability.
