Job summary

Balfour Beatty is recruiting Winter Maintenance Drivers to support Lincolnshire winter operations. You will drive gritters on assigned routes, perform pre-route inspections and participate in a standby rota during the winter season.

Ideal candidates hold a Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and a Digital Tachograph Card, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork to help keep local roads safe.

Qualifications

• Reliable and safety-focused driver with a valid Class 2 licence and CPC.
• Demonstrated commitment to health and safety in road operations.
• Willingness to participate in standby rota and unsociable hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Drive winter maintenance gritters along designated routes.
• Operate gritting vehicles to required quality standards.
• Support snow clearance activities when required.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and right first time.
• Follow depot and fleet movement procedures.
• Report close calls, good practices and safety observations.
• Comply with driver hours regulations and company procedures.
• Promote Balfour Beatty's Zero Harm culture at all times.
