Job summary

Human Appeal in Manchester is seeking a Logistics Assistant for the Wrap Up Campaign to coordinate stock movement, manage inventories, and support distribution to vulnerable communities during winter. Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics.
• Experience in logistics, warehousing, charity campaigns, events, or community programmes.
• Experience coordinating deliveries, stock management, or operational activities.
• Experience working with volunteers, customers, or community stakeholders.
• Experience sorting and quality-checking donated items or stock.
• Full UK Driving Licence and ability to drive larger vehicles.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Proficient with MS Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams.
• Excellent spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate movement of campaign stock, equipment, and materials between storage locations and distribution sites.
• Support transport planning and route coordination to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts.
• Receive, sort and quality-check donated items and store safely for distribution.
• Process requests for campaign materials and beneficiary distributions with accuracy.
• Assist with deliveries, collections, and distribution across campaign locations.
• Support induction, coordination, and supervision of campaign volunteers.
