Job summary

Human Appeal is seeking a Logistics Assistant to support the Winter Campaign. You will coordinate stock movements, manage inventory, and assist with deliveries and volunteer supervision to ensure smooth campaign delivery.

You will work in the Programme department, engaging with volunteers and partners while maintaining accurate records and adhering to safety standards. This role offers hands-on charity operations experience and community impact.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including English and Mathematics.
• Experience in logistics, warehousing, charity campaigns, events, retail operations, or community programmes.
• Experience coordinating deliveries, stock management, or operational activities.
• Experience working with volunteers, customers, or community stakeholders.
• Experience sorting and quality-checking donated items or stock.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to drive hired vehicles, including large vans.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and handle campaign materials.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

• Ability to learn and use inventory management and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the movement of campaign stock between storage locations, collection points, and distribution sites.
• Support transport planning and route coordination to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of all campaign stock and donated items.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations.
• Process requests for campaign materials and beneficiary distributions.
• Prepare stock for distribution and ensure correct documentation is completed.
• Assist with deliveries, collections, and distributions across campaign locations.
• Support induction, coordination, and supervision of campaign volunteers.
• Develop positive working relationships with stakeholders to support campaign success.
• Assist with fleet management and vehicle safety checks.
