Job summary

Experis is seeking a Wintel Engineer to deliver hands-on Windows-based enterprise infrastructure support for the OpNET programme. The role focuses on Microsoft server technologies within highly virtualised environments, supporting full lifecycle delivery from installation and configuration through to integration, testing, and operational support in secure environments.

The position is based in Corsham with three days onsite per week, and requires SC clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

Strong experience with Windows Server platforms (e.g. 2012R2, 2016+) in enterprise environments.
Experience deploying and administering Active Directory in secure environments.
Experience across Microsoft enterprise services (PKI, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, SQL, WSUS).
Experience supporting Windows environments in virtualised infrastructure.
Knowledge of patching, backup/restore, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems across enterprise environments.
Deploy and support Microsoft enterprise services including Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, SQL, WSUS, PKI.
Administer and support Windows environments within virtualised infrastructure.
Perform system configuration, patching, backup and restore operations to maintain platform availability.
Support system integration, troubleshooting, and resolution of incidents and service requests.
Produce and review design documentation, build guides, and runbooks.
