Job summary

The Gleneagles Hotel is seeking a part-time Cellar Assistant to join our Stock Administration team. The role involves stock taking, processing deliveries, and maintaining stock records to ensure smooth cellar operations.

You will work 24 hours across four days, with occasional Saturdays, and contribute to exceptional guest service in a luxury setting. You’ll need strong organisation, attention to detail, and good computer skills, with a proactive attitude to support the wider team and ensure

• Experience in a similar role with deliveries is essential.
• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail are necessary.
• Ability to perform manual handling of heavy deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Stock taking and clearing variances.
• Processing beverage deliveries and handling returns/credits.
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm stock availability and new listings.
• Flag price or vintage changes and update master data for the team.
• Track stock movement including transfers, requisitions and returns; flag slow-moving items.
• Support with material control and recipe updates; monitor vintage/price changes.
• Assist cellar team with daily tasks and organisation of back corridors and wine cellar.
• Interact with guests in a warm, professional manner to enhance their stay.
