Job summary

Starwood Hotels in Westminster seeks a Purchasing/Cellar Supervisor to coordinate cellar operations and procure food, beverages, and housekeeping supplies. You will support the Purchasing Manager and manage stock, invoices, and supplier relationships.

Ideal candidates have 1 year in beverage cellar management, strong leadership, and diary-management experience; Birch Street or Ven Power familiarity is a plus. Weekend flexibility and light lifting required with an attractive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year managing the Beverage cellar in Hospitality operations.
• Proven track record of managing internal stocktakes and observation of external audits.
• Experience using a diary management system.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills, internally and externally.
• Demonstrate a high level of organisation and time management.
• Excellent record keeping.
• English Language – Native or Bilingual proficiency.
• Experience of using Birch Street Purchasing system and or Ven power stock system would be advantageous.
• Prior experience of rolling out a stock system would an advantage.

Responsibilities

• As Purchasing/Cellar supervisor, support the Purchasing Manager in sourcing supplies and managing supplier relationships.
• As Purchasing/Cellar Supervisor, take charge of hotel cellars, stocks, deliveries and budget lines.
• Ensure invoices, delivery notes and requisitions comply with Starwood Hotels procedures.
• Manage cellar budget and resolve order/invoice discrepancies; match F&B where needed.
• Ensure orders are based on usage, stock turnover and Cost of Sales budgets.
• Oversee all internal and external stocktakes and audits.
• Coordinate logistics and distribution of all general and beverage stocks across the building.
• Input invoices and purchase orders daily; produce management information for decision making.
• Be flexible for month-end hours and weekends; assist as required.
