The Gleneagles Hotel in Auchterarder is seeking a Cellar Assistant to join our Stock Administration team on a part-time basis (24 hours per week). The role focuses on stock taking, processing beverage deliveries, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure stock availability and accuracy.

You will support the wider cellar team with daily tasks, maintain master data, and engage with guests to deliver high-standard service in a luxury setting. Flexibility to work Saturdays as required is appreciated.

We are currently seeking an organised, committed, and attentive Cellar Assistant to join our Stock Administration team.

The on target earning potential for this role is £31,039 per annum - comprising a base salary of £26,039, plus a qualified estimate of £5000 in gratuities and service charge.* As a member of the Gleneagles team, you will also enjoy a fantastic range of perks, benefits and rewards.

Your working pattern will be 24 hours per week, across 4 days. Monday to Friday with the occasional requirement to work a Saturday.

Here’s a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role:

• You’ll be focused on stock taking; checking and clearing any variances
• Processing beverage deliveries, arranging any returns or credits
• You’ll communicate with our suppliers to establish and ensure regards stock availability or any new listings
• Noticing and then flagging any price or vintage changes; updating our master data list to ensure the full team are aware
• You’ll track all stock movement; Monitoring transfers, requisitions and returns. Along with flagging items that have not moved or sold within a provided period of time
• Supporting with maintaining material control; Recipe checking and recoding any updates. Monitoring vintage or price changes
• You will be supporting the wider cellar team with daily tasks and organisation of our back corridors and wine cellar
• Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way

The kind of person we're looking for:

• Ideally you’re operating in a similar role, with experience handling deliveries, however having a great attitude is essential
• You have strong organisation skills, take pride in attention to detail and able to carry out Manual handling of heaving deliveries
• Instinctively using your own initiative, you willingly adapt to changing demands and timescales
• Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand
• You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner
• A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail
