Job summary

The Gleneagles Hotel in Auchterarder is seeking a Cellar Assistant to join our Stock Administration team on a part-time basis (24 hours per week). The role focuses on stock taking, processing beverage deliveries, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure stock availability and accuracy.

You will support the wider cellar team with daily tasks, maintain master data, and engage with guests to deliver high-standard service in a luxury setting. Flexibility to work Saturdays as required is appreciated.

Qualifications

• Must be organised and attentive with good communication skills.
• Able to handle manual deliveries and perform manual handling.
• Demonstrates initiative and adaptability to changing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Stock taking and clearing variances.
• Process beverage deliveries and returns/credits.
• Communicate with suppliers about stock availability and listings.
• Flag price or vintage changes; update master data list.
• Track stock movement including transfers and returns.
• Support with material control and recipe updates.
• Assist wider cellar team with daily tasks and back corridors.
• Interact with guests in a warm, professional manner to exceed expectations.
