Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment (South) Limited is working with a Winchester-based client to recruit a Contract Build Engineer on a 6-month, fully onsite contract. The role focuses on supporting a hardware refresh project by replacing legacy Windows 10 devices with Windows 11 across the estate.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with device deployment at scale, familiarity with Intune/MDM, and strong ticketing via ServiceDesk.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying and provisioning devices at scale.
• Familiarity with Intune or other MDM platforms.
• Imaging and setting up laptops/desktops.
• Experience using ServiceDesk for ticket tracking.
• Proficient with Excel and IT admin tools.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Team player with flexible, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support rollout of Windows 11 devices across the business.
• Unbox, image/configure, and ship laptops and desktops to end users.
• Maintain communication with users regarding delivery and handover.
• Track and manage activity using Excel logs and Service Request tickets.
• Assist with general IT support tasks as required.
• Accurately update and close tickets using the internal ServiceDesk tool.
