Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a dedicated window cleaning operative to perform cleaning tasks across various sites. The role involves using BMU/MEWP access, Water-Fed Poles, and traditional methods, following schedules and ensuring high safety standards.

The candidate should have prior window cleaning experience, be able to work alone or in a team, and hold a full UK driving licence. Occasional travel and overnight stays are required, with a strong professional attitude and reliability.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out window cleaning tasks using various access methods (BMU, MEWP, Water-Fed Poles, traditional methods).
• Work to schedules set by supervisor or line manager in a timely, safe manner.
• Use company-provided equipment and techniques to remove dirt, stains and allergens.
• Follow client-schedules for periodic deep cleaning on request.
• Respond to urgent cleaning requests and emergency callouts as directed by management.
• Comply with Health & Safety, hygiene, fire and COSHH regulations and policies.
• Report health and safety hazards, accidents, theft or damages to Line Manager.

About The Role:

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 06:00am - 14:30pm

Main Function of the Position:

• We are looking for a dedicated experienced window cleaning operative, to carry out window cleaning tasks which involve various access requirements such as, window cleaning from BMU or MEWP (training provided), or window cleaning via Water-Fed Poles and Traditional methods.
• To carry out works scheduled by the supervisor or line manager in a timely, safe manor.
• Use specialised equipment (provided by the company) and techniques to effectively remove dirt, stains, and allergens.
• Follow established schedules to conduct periodic deep cleaning tasks as per client requests.
• Respond to various specialized cleaning requests as directed by management or clients, adapting techniques and equipment as needed.
• Be available for emergency callouts, responding promptly to urgent cleaning needs in various locations
• Comply with all Company & Client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH.
• Follow client/company guidelines with regards to the identification and reporting of health and safety hazards e.g., blocked/locked fire doors.
• Report any customer complaints or compliments and take some remedial action if at all possible. Report immediately any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage or other irregularities to the Line Manager/ supervisor.

You will meet the following criteria:

• Must have right to work in the UK.
• Confident with occasional travel and overnight stays
• You must hold a full UK Driving License.
• You will have experience in window cleaning and ideally in working at heights and high buildings
• You must have the ability to work well on your own, be self-sufficient and motivated whilst also being comfortable working as part of a team and following instruction.
• A professional attitude.
