Job summary

Vestas is seeking a Production Group Lead at our Newport, Isle of Wight blade manufacturing facility. You will lead a team of operators, drive safety, quality, and delivery targets, and champion continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, managing workload planning, ensuring training and qualifications, and maintaining standards across ERP/MES systems to support operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) or related field.
• Vocational qualification or higher education in manufacturing or engineering.
• Leadership or supervisory training completed.
• Minimum 3 years in manufacturing/production environment.
• Experience leading or coordinating teams in an operational setting.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental requirements in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP and MES systems.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of operators to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Transform strategy into daily execution and drive continuous improvement.
• Promote 5S, safe working practices and adherence to safety rules.
• Coach and develop team through regular 1:1 discussions.
• Monitor performance metrics and coordinate resource planning.
