Job summary

Willow Tree Nursery School in Tendring is seeking a Supply Nursery Practitioner for a full-time, permanent role. You will cover for children as needed and support engaging activities across the day, with a focus on EYFS planning.

Unqualified or Level 2/3 Early Years educators are welcome; EYFS knowledge is desirable and you will be part of a supportive team committed to high standards of safeguarding.

Qualifications

• A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years.
• Experience as an Early Years Educator or with children under 5 is advantageous.
• Knowledge of the EYFS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide cover for children as needed during holidays, sickness or vacancy gaps.
• Support for full day or part-day sessions.
• Engage in creative activities within EYFS guidelines and plan age-appropriate learning experiences.

How you’ll spend your time here

You’ll be helping to providecover for the children asand when needed. This could befor periods of holiday, sickness, or evenvacancy gaps. Sometimes you’ll support forafull day, or it may just be amorning or afternoon session. You’ll likely start most of yourdays with afully formulated plan.... That will soonget completely derailed though... Pivoting when the circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care!

Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows forhands onarts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged. Of course we work within theEYFS standards, but that doesn't stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.

You’re unqualified, Level 2 or 3 Early Years Educator / Practitioner / Nursery Nurse or similar and you're looking for anEarly Years Educator/Nursery Nurse/Early Years Practitioner role that allows you flexibility of working shifts around your other commitments.

You enjoy supporting and encouragingthenaturalcuriosity and excitement of young children and werebornto teach and shape the future of our younger generations.

You have a natural,nurturing, openness, awarm and positive outlook, and youcare about learning andeducation standards in the UK.

What you'll need

• A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years. (We can sometimes consider unqualified Educators, as long as they demonstrate the necessary qualities, values and enthusiasm for working within this environment. If you think you've got the right attitude and abilities, who knows it might be the best thing you ever did. Nothing ventured nothing gained!)

• Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5, is advantageous

• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS is desirable
