The Best Connection is recruiting for an experienced Wickman Automatic Lathe/AS14 Tornus Machine Operator for an established engineering client in Wednesbury. You will set up and operate Wickman Automatic Lathe and AS14 Tornus machines to produce precision components to customer drawings and specifications.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00–15:00 with an early finish every day and no weekend work. The role offers pay from £15.00 per hour, with higher rates depending on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience setting and operating Wickman Automatic Lathe machines.
• Experience working on AS14 Tornus machines.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable with excellent attendance and timekeeping.
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

Wickman Automatic Lathe/AS14 Tornus Machine Operator on behalf of our established engineering client based in

Wednesbury.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected precision engineering company that manufactures high-quality components supplied to the automotive, aerospace, and medical sectors.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday

07:00am - 3:00pm

Early finish every day with no weekend work

Pay Rate

From £15.00 per hour

Higher rate available depending on skills and experience

The Role

You will be responsible for setting and operating specialist machinery, including:

Wickman Automatic Lathes

AS14 Tornus Machines

You will be producing precision-engineered components to customer specifications while maintaining high quality standards and production efficiency.
