Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting for an experienced CNC Setter in Wednesbury. Join a precision engineering company supplying automotive, aerospace, and medical sectors. You will set and operate Wickman Automatic Lathes and AS14 Tornus machines to produce high-quality components to customer drawings.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00-15:00, with early finishes and no weekend work. The role offers weekly pay, pension, online payslips, accrued holiday pay, and personal accident insurance through

Qualifications

• Proven experience setting and operating Wickman Automatic Lathe machines.
• Experience working with AS14 Tornus machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong attendance and timekeeping with a reliable work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC machines to produce precision components.
• Maintain quality standards and production efficiency on the Wickman/AS14 machines.
• Move from setup to production runs following engineering drawings.

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Setter on behalf of our established engineering client based in Wednesbury.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected precision engineering company that manufactures high-quality components supplied to the automotive, aerospace, and medical sectors.

Hours of Work

• Monday to Friday
• 07:00am - 3:00pm
• Early finish every day with no weekend work

Pay Rate

• From £15.00 per hour
• Higher rate available depending on skills and experience

The Role

As a CNC Setter, you will be responsible for setting and operating specialist machinery, including:

• Wickman Automatic Lathes
• AS14 Tornus Machines

You will be producing precision-engineered components to customer specifications while maintaining high quality standards and production efficiency.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Have proven experience setting and operating Wickman Automatic Lathe machines
• Have experience working on AS14 Tornus machines
• Be able to work to engineering drawings and specifications
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
• Have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Be reliable with excellent attendance and timekeeping
