Job summary

Morson Edge (Financial Services) is seeking a Compliance Consultant for a London-based 4-month contract. The role focuses on supporting the Market Risk & Compliance team, developing trading controls, governance, policies, monitoring and training across wholesale energy markets.

You will provide compliance guidance, manage risk assessments, and coordinate with process owners to address regulatory requirements while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in compliance, trading, risk, or related analytical role.
• Strong knowledge of UK wholesale energy markets and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the compliance framework, policies, controls, and monitoring processes.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and lead the annual assessment.
• Undertake monitoring, surveillance, analysis, and reporting.
• Provide advice on wholesale compliance matters and regulatory requirements.
• Support regulatory enquiries, investigations, and operational incidents.
• Work with process owners and business change teams to identify and manage compliance risks.
• Build effective relationships with stakeholders across the business.
