Job summary

Compliance professionals in London are seeking an experienced compliance adviser for a commodities trading environment. You will conduct surveillance of trades and communications, investigate market conduct concerns, and support the firm's regulatory obligations across energy/commodity derivatives.

You will provide day-to-day advisory support to Front Office and trading-related functions, contribute to the compliance framework, and help maintain policies and training in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Understanding of financial markets and derivatives, energy/commodity derivatives preferred.
• Experience in Compliance Advisory, Surveillance, or similar function in trading environment.
• Knowledge of UK regulation (MAR, MiFID II/MiFIR, EMIR).
• Understanding of market conduct and trading-related compliance risks.

Responsibilities

• Undertake trade and communications surveillance, reviewing alerts and escalating issues.
• Assist with identification, investigation and resolution of market conduct concerns.
• Provide compliance input for commodity derivatives trading activities and exchange requirements.
• Support the compliance monitoring programme: reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Provide day-to-day compliance advisory support to the Front Office and trading functions.
• Support development of the firm’s compliance framework.
• Review and maintain compliance policies and documentation.
• Assist with investigations, regulatory enquiries, audits, and reviews.
• Deliver compliance training and communicate regulatory requirements across the business.
• Undertake additional compliance activities within a small, dynamic team.
