Job summary

AJM Healthcare is recruiting an enthusiastic Service Technician to join our logistics team, focusing on maintenance of wheelchairs for NHS wheelchair users in the surrounding areas. The role includes participation in the on-call emergency rota and requires a valid driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.

The successful candidate will bring experience in maintenance or mechanical work, show empathy and resilience, and be willing to go the extra mile for patients while receiving full training

Qualifications

• Valid manual driving licence with no more than 6 points for insurance purposes.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Provide workshop service engineering, repairing, servicing and maintaining wheelchairs.
• Conduct repairs and servicing as directed by the Depot team leader/Service Manager.
• Undertake reconditioning and decontamination of wheelchairs.
• Assist in the wheelchair service emergency call out rota.
