TeacherActive is recruiting a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant for a Welsh-medium secondary school in Swansea. Immediate start with full-time, part-time, short-term, and long-term opportunities available.

You will work closely with teachers to support pupils and ALN needs while benefiting from free CPD training and ongoing consultant support. Roles include assisting with lessons, managing classroom activities, and ensuring a positive learning environment in both Welsh and English.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Welsh is essential, with the ability to communicate confidently in both Welsh and English.
• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable, but not essential).
• Experience supporting pupils with ALN is highly desirable, but not essential.
• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one.

About the Role

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Welsh-medium secondary school in Swansea that is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant for an immediate start.

You’ll work alongside teaching staff to support pupils across the secondary age range, helping deliver engaging lessons, providing classroom assistance and supporting students with ALN where required.

What We're Looking For

The successful Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant will have:
