TeacherActive is working with a Welsh-medium secondary school in Swansea to appoint a dedicated Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant for an immediate start. You will support pupils across the secondary age range, assist lessons and provide ALN support as required.

The role offers full-time, part-time, short-term and long-term opportunities, with access to FREE CPD training, certificates and ongoing consultant support. Daily pay is £85.50–£90, plus flexible working and a referral scheme.

Qualifications

• Fluent Welsh is essential.
• Experience with children or young people in education preferred.
• Enhanced DBS registered on Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

You'll work alongside teaching staff to support pupils across the secondary age range, helping deliver engaging lessons, providing classroom assistance and supporting students with ALN where required.

What We're Looking For

The successful Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant will have:

• Fluency in Welsh is essential, with the ability to communicate confidently in both Welsh and English.
• Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) is highly desirable, but not essential.
• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one.
• A positive, patient and adaptable approach, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
