Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a Welsh-medium primary school in the Llanfyllin / Llansantffraid area, seeking a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant to join on a long-term, immediate-start basis.

You will support Foundation Phase and KS2, assist the class teacher with daily activities, and deliver engaging learning opportunities, with responsibilities across small groups and individual pupils.

Qualifications

• Fluent Welsh language skills, both spoken and written.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable.
• Experience supporting children in a primary school setting.
• Knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales and KS1/KS2 contexts.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across Foundation Phase and KS2.
• Deliver engaging learning opportunities alongside the class teacher.
• Provide additional support to pupils individually and in small groups.
• Contribute to a positive, Welsh-medium learning environment.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Welsh-medium primary school in the Llanfyllin / Llansantffraid area, who are looking to appoint a Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant. The school provides a Welsh-speaking learning environment, supporting pupils in developing their confidence, communication skills and academic abilities through the medium of Welsh.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, starting immediately. The successful Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will be working across the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 / KS2, supporting the class teacher with daily activities, delivering engaging learning opportunities and providing additional support to pupils both individually and in small groups.

The successful Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will have:

• Fluent Welsh language skills, both spoken and written
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
• Experience supporting children within a primary school setting
• Knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales and experience working across Foundation Phase and KS2
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• A positive, patient and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning
