Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council Catering Services are seeking a Cook to manage day-to-day activities in school kitchens across the borough, delivering a quality meal service to pupils and staff. You will be responsible for menu provision, portion control, meal preparation and cooking, plus administration duties and supervising staff.

The role requires an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate and Welsh language ability; DBS check is required; hours are 9.00am–2.00pm, Monday to Friday, during term

Qualifications

• Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate is essential.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent desirable.
• Welsh language ability required to greet customers.
