Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a Welsh-speaking Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a fantastic school in the West of Newport. The role is part-time, two to three days a week, starting at the beginning of September.

You will provide one-to-one and small group support, help develop learning plans, promote inclusive learning, and use Welsh within the school community. The school offers a supportive environment and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Welsh, both written and spoken.
• Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
• Compassionate, patient and positive attitude toward supporting young learners.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, in and out of the classroom.
• Assist in developing and implementing tailored learning plans.
• Promote inclusive learning and support the emotional and social development of children.
• Use the Welsh language within the school community.
• Work closely with teaching staff to meet learning needs.
