Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated Welsh-speaking Learning Support Assistant for a fantastic school in the West of Newport. The part-time role is two to three days a week, starting at the beginning of September, with a friendly team and supportive environment.

You will provide one-to-one and small group support, help develop tailored learning plans, promote inclusive learning, and use Welsh within the school community, working closely with teaching staff to meet each child's needs.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Welsh (written and spoken).
• Experience with children or in an educational setting preferred.
• Compassionate, patient and positive attitude toward young learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students.
• Assist in development and implementation of tailored learning plans.
• Promote inclusive learning and support emotional and social development of children.
• Use the Welsh language within the school community.
• Work closely with teaching staff to meet each child's learning needs.
