Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting Welsh-Medium Level 2–3 Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Llanelli. This role requires a fluent Welsh speaker and Level 2/3 TA qualification, with Welsh-medium experience preferred. Welsh-Medium Level 2–3 Teaching Assistant – Llanelli

Location: Llanelli

Weekly PAYE - £85.50 p/d

Are you a Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistant with a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification? Do you have a passion for supporting pupils and helping them build confidence, develop their skills, and reach their full potential?

TeacherActive is currently recruiting Welsh-Medium Level 2–3 Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Llanelli. This is a fantastic opportunity for caring, enthusiastic, and adaptable individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils within a Welsh-medium education setting.

The Role

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive Welsh-medium lessons
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils
• Assist learners with a range of learning needs and abilities
• Support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) where required
• Encourage confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Support classroom activities, interventions, and learning programmes
• Build positive relationships with pupils, teachers, and the wider school team

Requirements

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Fluent Welsh speaker – essential
• Experience working within a Welsh-medium education setting is desirable
• Previous experience working with children or young people
• Experience supporting pupils with ALN is desirable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, proactive, and adaptable approach
• Genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
