Job summary

Careers Wales is seeking a Translator – Welsh Language on a maternity cover basis. The role delivers translation services across website content, oversees high-volume machine translation, and ensures Welsh content retains meaning.

Based in one of our Welsh centres with potential hybrid working, the successful candidate must have a degree and proven translation experience; Welsh language proficiency is essential. Applications close 13/10/26 and role starts soon.

Qualifications

• A degree level qualification.
• Proven experience of translation from English to Welsh and Welsh to English.
• Proficient in speaking, listening, reading and writing in Welsh.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver a translation service for website content.
• Oversee high volume machine translated content and ensure quality.
• Maintain meaning of original text with QA checks while publishing updates.
