Careers Wales is hiring a Translator – Welsh Language on a maternity cover basis. The role focuses on delivering translations for our Welsh-language content and ensuring accuracy of machine-translated material across Welsh and English content. Hybrid working options are available.

You will operate within the Digital and Communications team, managing timely updates and quality assurance to meet Welsh Language Standards. A degree and Welsh language proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have degree-level qualification.
• Proven experience translating English to Welsh and Welsh to English.
• Proficient Welsh speaking/listening/reading/writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver translation service for website content.
• Oversee high-volume machine translated content with quality assurance.
• Update and publish data across website services within deadlines.
