Job summary

Aspire People are currently recruiting for a Welsh-speaking Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools across Rhondda Cynon Taf. This role involves covering lessons across the site, delivering pre-set work, and helping to keep students on task in a positive environment.

The ideal candidate is fluent in Welsh, has experience with young people, strong classroom and behaviour management skills, and is willing to obtain EWC registration. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required.

Qualifications

• Welsh-speaking with experience in education.
• Experience working with young people in education settings.
• Confident classroom and behaviour management.
• Willing to obtain EWC registration.
• Enhanced DBS with Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Cover lessons across the secondary school.
• Deliver pre-set work and keep pupils on task.

• Manage behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Support students’ learning where appropriate.
• Work across different subjects as required.
• Liaise with teaching staff on lesson plans and progress.

Welsh Cover Supervisor Needed - RCT

Aspire People are currently recruiting for a Welsh-speaking Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools across Rhondda Cynon Taf.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong Welsh language skills who enjoys working with young people and wants to gain or continue experience within a secondary school environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Covering lessons across the secondary school
• Delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain on task
• Maintaining a positive and focused classroom environment
• Managing behaviour confidently and consistently
• Supporting students with their learning where appropriate
• Working across different subjects as required
• Liaising with teaching staff regarding lesson plans and student progress

We’re Looking For

• Fluent Welsh language skills
• Experience working with young people or within an education setting
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
• Strong communication and organisational skillsReliable, adaptable and able to work independently
• EWC registration or willingness to obtain
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
