Job summary

Leicester College is seeking a Wellbeing Mentor Team Leader to supervise a team of Wellbeing Mentors, delivering ongoing support and contributing to campus wellbeing initiatives. The role involves cross-campus responsibilities and close collaboration with the Wellbeing Manager.

The ideal candidate will have mentoring experience, safeguarding knowledge in education, and a track record of supporting students with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Experience mentoring students or staff in an education setting.
• Understanding safeguarding in education and supporting students with safeguarding or complex needs.
• Ability to supervise and develop a team across multiple campuses.

Job description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Wellbeing Mentor Team Leader at Leicester College. The role will require the individual to manage a team of Wellbeing Mentors providing a supportive approach day to day, regular supervision and yearly appraisals, as well as working closely with the Wellbeing Manager. This role will entail working with the team, supporting the Wellbeing Manager with projects and new developments to the already established wellbeing offer. This is a cross-college role and will require flexibility to work across college campuses as needed.

The successful candidate will require extensive experience in Mentoring as they will hold a cohort of students for ongoing practice within this role. They will understand the role of safeguarding in education and hold the skills to support the team when working with students with safeguarding and /or complex support needs. You will have:

• Level 2 Maths and English or the equivalent e.g. GCSE grade C or above, GCSE grade 4 or above
• Level 3 Vocational Qualification or equivalent
