Job summary

Rubislaw Park Care Home in Aberdeen's West End is looking for a Wellbeing Lead to develop and deliver a high quality, person-centred activities programme that enhances wellbeing and promotes participation among residents.

Working with the Home Manager and the wider team, you will plan group and one-to-one activities for residents including those living with dementia, maintain records, and continually review the programme to keep it engaging and aligned with care plans.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Activities Coordinator or similar role is essential.
• Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging activities and events.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Confident, creative and proactive approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting older people, including those living with dementia.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead group and one-to-one activities tailored to residents' interests and care needs.
• Deliver engaging and meaningful activities that promote participation and wellbeing.
• Work closely with the Home Manager to keep activities aligned with care plans.
• Maintain accurate records and review the programme to ensure it remains effective.

Job description

We are an award-winning care home and nursing facility, based in Aberdeen’s West End. We deliver exceptional levels of Residential, Nursing, Dementia & Respite care for up to 86-residents.

Wellbeing Lead Contract

• £14.50 per hour
• Contracted to 40 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Wellbeing Lead, you will take responsibility for developing and delivering a high quality, engaging and person centred activities programme. The role plays a key part in enhancing wellbeing, promoting independence and creating a positive, stimulating environment.

You will plan and lead both group and one to one activities, tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs, including those living with dementia. Building strong relationships will enable you to deliver meaningful and inclusive activities that encourage participation and social interaction.

Working closely with the Home Manager and wider team, you will ensure activities are well organised, consistent and aligned with individual care plans. You will also maintain accurate records and continuously review and improve the programme to ensure it remains engaging and effective.
