Job summary

SSAFA’s Glasgow’s Helping Heroes in Glasgow is seeking a Support and Wellbeing Advisor to deliver person-centred support to the Armed Forces Community across Glasgow and surrounding areas. You’ll triage enquiries, manage a varied caseload and work with partners to improve access to services.

The role focuses on housing, financial wellbeing and social inclusion, with outreach across community venues and homes. A hybrid approach is available after probation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality, person-centred support to the Armed Forces Community across Glasgow and surrounding areas.
• Triage new enquiries and manage a varied caseload.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners including Glasgow City Council, GP practices and other local authorities.
• Support planning and delivery of social and resilience building projects and outreach activities.
• Secure funding to support beneficiaries with household goods, essential food and energy costs, and debt related support.
