Job summary

British Red Cross is seeking a Service Support Worker to assist adults in their own homes and in the community, providing compassionate, practical care and emotional support. The role requires patience, reliability and the ability to make service users feel safe and valued.

Registering with the SSSC within 3 months is a condition of employment, and the position offers flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to suit service users’ needs.

Location: Inverness with travel around the area

Salary: £13.45 per hour

Hours: Zero hours, as and when required

Contract: Casual

Additional Requirement: Successful candidates will be required to register with the Scottish Social Security Council (SSSC) within 3 months of starting.

What day in the life of a Service Support Worker involve?
