Job description

The Wellbeing & Safeguarding Project Youth Worker role has been established to address the growing need for targeted support in young people’s mental health and overall wellbeing. This position ensures that young people at Legacy Youth Zone have access to dedicated support during evenings and weekends, offering one-to-one conversations that meet them at their point of need. The role is crucial for conducting universal impact evaluations and using our impact measurement tools to assess and enhance Legacy’s positive influence on young people.

Working Hours
  1. 14 hours per week
  2. Tuesday 2-5pm (3 hrs) - Safeguarding meeting and admin/weekly prep
  3. Wednesday or Friday 3.45-9.15pm (5.5 hrs) - working on senior session with 13-19 year olds
  4. Saturday 3.45-9.15pm (5.5 hrs) - working on senior session with 13-19 year olds

Fixed term until July 2027

Due to the requirement to work during Senior sessions (aged 13-19), the candidate must be aged 21 or over.
