Job summary

Winchester Heights care home, part of Avery Healthcare Group, seeks a Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator to plan and run activities that support residents’ wellbeing. You will submit monthly and weekly plans to the Home Manager and coordinate events with staff, relatives and visitors.

Experience with older people, especially in dementia settings, and skills in organising activities are essential. DBS check and right to work in the UK are required.

• Provide a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate residents' physical, psychological and social wellbeing
• Promote privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights and fulfilment for all residents
• Identify residents' life history, needs and preferences by listening to residents and their families, and develop detailed life stories
• Plan a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview, and submit them to the Home Manager
• Arrange activities, events and outings, encouraging involvement from staff, relatives and visitors
• Maintain a safe living and working environment that supports the home's professional image

The home is a residential nursing dementia setting, and the post submits a monthly activity plan and weekly overview to the Home Manager. Applicants need a DBS check and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
