Job summary

Thornfield Care Home is seeking an Activities Lead to develop and deliver a high-quality, person-centred activities programme for residents, including those living with dementia.

You will plan and lead group and one-to-one activities, tailored to individual interests and care needs, ensuring meaningful participation and social interaction within a supportive team. Alternate weekends apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Activities Coordinator or similar role is essential.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities and events.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Creative, proactive approach with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting older people, including those living with dementia.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a high quality, person-centred activities programme.
• Plan and lead group and one-to-one activities tailored to interests and care needs.
• Build relationships to promote participation and social interaction.
• Keep records and review the programme to ensure engagement and effectiveness.
• Work with the Home Manager and team to align activities with care plans.
