Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Assistant for Edenbridge Manor Care Home in Edenbridge, Kent. You will work with the Wellbeing Coordinator to deliver a diverse programme of activities that support residents' physical, cognitive and social wellbeing.

You will contribute to a safe home environment, report changes to the care team, and help build links with the local community to promote intergenerational activities.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Understanding of how interaction impacts residents' wellbeing.
• Positive attitude toward older people and ability to provide stimulating activities.
• Experience with older people in a residential dementia setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe living and working environment and uphold the home’s professional image.
• Report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing Coordinator, Home Manager, and care staff.
• Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities.
• Build links with the local community to promote intergenerational activities and engagement.
