Job description

We would like volunteers to help at the group meetings.

This could involve general helping, such as making refreshments, chatting to attendees, and helping with activities.

During group sessions, we would like volunteers to welcome people, promote conversations, whilst allowing space for people to talk (if they want to), as well as looking out for and checking in on others.

Skills

This role would suit a sociable and cheerful person who is:

  • Over the age of 18.
  • Passionate about supporting others in the community.

  • Respectful, sensitive, and non-judgmental.
  • Adaptable and easy-going.

We would also love to have volunteers who can specifically help with art and craft activities, board games, quizzes, outings, etc. The group likes to try new activities.

  • Volunteer induction: The Wellbeing Cafe Coordinator and Ventnor Town Council will provide induction for the role.
