About the Opportunity

We are now seeking a Sub-Team Leader who can steer a small group of HR People volunteers, drive best-practice processes, and report directly to the Deputy Head of HR and CEO. If you love growing people, building positive culture, and sharpening HR operations, all while giving back to early-stage tech companies, this role is for you.

Activities

  • Manage 3-5 HR Admin volunteers: set goals, assign tasks, coach on best practice, and model SkilledUp Life values
  • Oversee onboarding processes and ensure a smooth integration for new volunteers.
  • Facilitate training sessions and performance evaluations.
  • Serve as a liaison between volunteers and the HR department.
  • Refine and communicate performance expectations for all volunteers.
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance the volunteer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee upkeep of the Performance Management, Activeness Tracker, and Termination sheets; ensure data integrity and timely updates.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a team.
  • Proficiency in HR practices and principles.
  • Experience with HR software and tools is a plus.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Bonus: Formal HR qualification (CIPD, SHRM, or similar) or start-up/tech sector exposure.
