Job summary

NEC Software Solutions is recruiting for a Discretionary Assistance Fund role in Wrexham. You will handle applications via online, phone, and mail channels, performing eligibility checks and data processing to support Welsh Government funding programs.

The position is a 6-month fixed term, full-time at 37.5 hours per week, with a comprehensive benefits package including pension, private medical cover, and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Process emergency payments and individual assistance grant applications.
• Manage and process data in a fast-paced office environment.
• Ensure accurate data recording.
• Liaise with applicants to input information into the DAF solution.
• Conduct eligibility checks with applicants and verify with additional sources.
• Understand the legislation and criteria for emergency payments and grants.
• Comply with the Processing Services Customer Charter for calls.
• Work with the team to achieve targets set by the Service Manager.
• Handle incoming/outgoing correspondence related to Local Welfare Provision.
• Respond to enquiries from clients, citizens and colleagues professionally.
• Act as a key deliverer of the DAF contract.
