Job summary

Citizens Advice Southwark is recruiting a welfare benefits caseworker to help clients access entitlements to welfare benefits and other financial support. The role includes outreach in hospitals across South East London as well as work from our Peckham and Walworth offices.

To succeed you will have at least one year of relevant advice experience, strong knowledge of welfare benefits (including disability and sickness benefits), and a commitment to the Citizens Advice aims and Equal Opportunities

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant advice experience (paid or unpaid).
• Demonstrable knowledge of welfare benefits including disability and sickness benefits.
• Commitment to Citizens Advice aims and Equal Opportunities policies.

Responsibilities

• Undertake casework to help clients access welfare entitlements.
• Provide outreach advice in hospitals and support from main offices.
• Work within the social welfare law framework and provide information and guidance.
