Job summary

Kincraig Primary School in Lancashire is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to support pupils during breaks and mealtimes and to help pupils build independence with targeted tasks.

Applicants must have experience working with children and be prepared to obtain a DBS Enhanced Disclosure. You will assist with behaviour management, report concerns, and uphold safeguarding policies while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support other staff in managing pupil behaviour during recreational and dining activities.
• Report pupil behavioural issues in line with school policies.
• Assist pupils to develop their independence through specific tasks.
• Communicate with pupils to encourage acceptable behaviour.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding procedures.
• Provide comfort and support to sick, ill or distressed pupils in line with school policies.
