Job summary

HAD-FAB LTD in the United Kingdom is seeking a Welding Supervisor to lead a welding shift in the fabrication workshop. You will manage a team of welders and fabricators, coordinate production plans, and ensure work is completed safely, to required quality standards and on schedule.

You will drive performance, maintain high workmanship standards, promote safety, and ensure efficient workflow throughout the fabrication process, using PLM systems to record progress and maintain traceability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading welding/fabrication teams.
• Strong understanding of welding processes and QA standards.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a workshop.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day welding operations to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.
• Allocate work based on priorities and competency; monitor progress to meet schedules.
• Ensure welds meet WPS, drawings, and customer specs; maintain traceability in PLM system.
• Lead, coach and develop the welding team; manage attendance and holidays.
• Maintain and improve 5S, housekeeping and safe systems of work.
• Support production planning and communicate priorities across departments.
• Complete shift handovers and production reports; document performance and downtime.
