Job summary

First Recruitment Group seeks a Welding NDT and Coating QC Supervisor to oversee welding, NDT and coating inspection activities on landfall and onshore facilities. You will review QC Plans, procedures and ITPs, ensure compliance with project specs, and support qualification evaluation for QC personnel.

You will verify certification validity (CSWIP, PCN, ASNT, NACE/ICorr) and ensure personnel competence and document control, records management and turnover readiness for prefabrication and site

Qualifications

• Experienced multi‑disciplined inspector in welding, coatings and NDT inspection activities in oil and gas.
• Strong knowledge of welding and coating processes, inspection requirements and defect identification.
• Hands‑on welding and NDT inspection experience is essential.
• Thorough understanding of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality control requirements and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review and comment on Sub‑Contractor Quality Control Plans, procedures, method statements and ITPs for welding, NDT and coating.
• Ensure submitted documents meet project specifications, codes, standards and contractual requirements.
• Evaluate Sub‑Contractor QC personnel qualifications (welding inspectors, NDT technicians, coating inspectors).
• Verify certification validity (CSWIP, AWS, PCN, ASNT, NACE/ICorr).
• Ensure personnel are competent and familiar with project requirements.
• Define and implement QC Information System rules (document control, traceability, inspection records).
• Attend witness and hold points as defined in Sub‑Contractor ITPs for welding, NDT and coating activities.
• Supervise subcontractor inspections and verify compliance with approved procedures.
• Review inspection reports, NDT results and coating inspection records for completeness and accuracy.
• Verify all tests, controls and inspections are carried out according to QC Plans and ITPs.
• Ensure proper collection, management and storage of all quality documents; meet turnover requirements for prefabrication and site works.

Education

BGAS-CSWIP Grade 2 Coating Inspector (or equivalent)

CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector

PCN Level 2 Penetrant Testing (PT)

PCN Level 2 Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)

Job description

As Welding NDT and Coating QC Supervisor you will ensure the supervision of Welding, NDT and Coating Inspection activities and verify Quality Control Plans implementation. You will Support the onshore Quality Engineer for Landfall and Outlet Facilities.

What are we looking for?

Experience: Experienced Multi-Disciplined Inspector with proven expertise in welding, coatings, and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspection activities within the oil and gas industry. Strong knowledge of welding and coating processes, inspection requirements, and defect identification. Previous hands‑on welding and NDT inspection experience is essential.

As the Welding NDT & Coating QC Supervisor, you will have a thorough understanding of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality control requirements, and project specifications.

Certification:

• BGAS-CSWIP Grade 2 Coating Inspector (or equivalent)
• CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector
• Qualified in NDT inspection techniques, including:
• PCN Level 2 Penetrant Testing (PT)
• PCN Level 2 Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
