Job summary

Middlesbrough College is seeking an Lecturer in Welding (Hourly Paid) to deliver practical welding instruction and foster a safe learning environment. You will guide learners to develop MIG, TIG, and arc welding skills, fabrications, blueprint reading, and equipment maintenance, with emphasis on employability and safety.

You will plan, assess, and support learners through diagnostic tools and a structured programme to meet college standards and progression.

Qualifications

• Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of all students.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and is developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of all students.
• Employ a variety of teaching techniques and resources aligned with best practices, content knowledge, space and student needs.
• Plan and deliver a suitable Assessment Programme ensuring marked work meets Middlesbrough College Standards.
• Utilise diagnostic assessment tools to identify learning strengths and needs for intervention and acceleration toward achievement.
