Job summary

TR2 Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading Further Education provider in South West Cumbria to recruit an experienced Fabrication & Welding Lecturer to join their Engineering team. This is a highly practical role, with the majority of delivery taking place within well-equipped engineering workshops, alongside classroom-based theory that underpins welding and fabrication.

You will deliver practical and theoretical training across Level 1 to Level 3 EAL Fabrication & Welding

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in Fabrication & Welding or a closely related discipline would be expected, together with recent relevant industry experience.
• Teaching experience is desirable but not essential.
• We actively welcome applications from experienced industry professionals who have trained, coached or mentored others and are now looking to move into Further Education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical welding and fabrication training across Level 1 to Level 3 EAL qualifications.
• Support Engineering Apprenticeships.
• Demonstrate techniques and supervise practical activities.
• Help learners develop skills, knowledge and confidence for the engineering industry.
• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety in the workshop.
• Support learner progression and collaboration with employers.
