Job summary

Rullion is seeking a Welding Field Engineer - Surveillance for the Hinkley Point C site in Somerset. This contract role involves independent construction and quality surveillance across welding, fabrication and mechanical installation activities, with NEC Supervisor duties and field-based site responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on welding experience, CSWIP 3.2 Welding Inspector qualification, and experience with NDT techniques (UT/MT/MPI/PT).

Qualifications

• CSWIP 3.2 Welding Inspector qualification required.
• Hands-on welding experience is essential.
• Experience with NDT techniques (UT/MT/MPI/PT) preferred.
• Strong understanding of welding inspection, fabrication inspection or surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out welding, fabrication and NDT surveillance across site.
• Monitor activities against Quality Control Plans and inspection requirements.
• Verify works are in accordance with contract, drawings and standards.
• Review welding activities, processes and workmanship in the field.
• Witness and review NDT activities (UT, MT/MPI, PT/DPI).
• Review Quality Inspection Records before works are covered or progressed.
• Identify potential non-conformances and support NCR process.
• Maintain surveillance records and report on contractor performance.
