Job summary

Bilfinger UK is recruiting a Welding Engineer to join the Hinkley Point C project on site, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. You will provide technical oversight of welding activities, develop procedures, and ensure QA/QC compliance across construction and commissioning phases.

Ideal candidates have strong experience with WPS/PQR, PWHT, and welding standards, plus the ability to coordinate with site teams and client representatives.

Qualifications

• Experience with welding procedures and qualification records (WPS/PQR).
• Experience coordinating welding on construction projects.
• Knowledge of ITPs, QA/QC inspections, and defect investigations.
• Strong communication with site teams and client representatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for welding activities on pipework installations.
• Ensure welding aligns with WPS and project requirements.
• Develop and review welding procedures and PQRs.
• Maintain records of welding procedures and on-site implementation.
• Support welding quality assurance and defect investigations.
• Coordinate welding with construction sequencing and site operations.
• Promote safe welding practices and comply with permits.
