Job summary

Bridgend College is seeking a Trainer in Welding and Fabrication for a 0.8FTE, permanent post at Bridgend. The role will plan, deliver and assess up to Level 3 in Welding and Fabrication, within an industrial environment, and engage diverse learners.

Candidates should have NVQ Level 3, TAQA Level 3 (or equivalent), and ideally a PGCE or willingness to work towards it. DBS clearance and Welsh language considerations are supported by the College.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Welding and Fabrication qualifications and working in an industrial environment.
• Ability to connect with diverse learners and inspire them to achieve.
• TAQA Level 3 (or equivalent) and willingness to work towards TAQA/PGCE.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, deliver, assess and evaluate up to Level 3 in Welding and Fabrication.
• Deliver 0.8FTE (29.6 hours per week) in a part-time, permanent post.
• Align teaching with industry standards and ensure learner progression.
