Job summary

P D Engineering Consultancy Ltd is seeking a proactive Welder / Fabricator to join our workshop team in Kensworth, Dunstable, with an install team in Stevenage. This hands-on role focuses on fabricating and welding steel works for construction projects across London, Herts and Beds.

You will perform MIG/MAG, TIG and MMA welding, read CAD-based drawings, and cut/assemble metal components. The position offers temp-to-perm progression and a chance to contribute to balcony, stair, and balustrade

Qualifications

• Proven welding/fabrication experience in metalwork environments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and CAD-based drawings.
• Proficiency in MIG/MAG, TIG and MMA welding; coding desirable.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld metal components to engineering specs.
• Work with aluminium and stainless steel where required.
• Read blueprints and measurements to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Use power tools and hand tools to cut, shape and assemble parts.
• Maintain high standards and safety, including fume control.
• Prepare finished products and inspect for quality.
