Job summary

Herefordshire and Worcestershire Group Training Association is seeking an Engineering Tutor specialising in welding and fabrication to deliver high-quality training to apprentices and adult learners in Worcester, with travel to Hereford once a week.

You will plan lessons, support learners through their apprenticeship journey, and liaise with employers to ensure standards are met. A strong engineering background and passion for teaching are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification (or above) in engineering.
• Experience in welding.
• Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Passion for supporting and developing learners.

Responsibilities

• Delivering engaging classroom-based engineering training.
• Planning lessons, schemes of work, and learning resources.
• Supporting apprentices to achieve apprenticeship standards and qualifications.
• Liaising with employers and Learning & Development Specialists regarding learner performance.
• Ensuring assignments are completed in line with awarding body requirements.
